Lyrical is an online gospel talent competition where we provide the lyrics and you compose the music. History of Lyrical Competition For a nominal entry fee of $35, artists gained access to a set of 10 lyrics that they composed music to in the following categories: urban contemporary gospel, southern gospel, soul jazz, jubilee, a cappella, holy hip hop and gospel blues. From February - May, artists submitted their music interpretations via mp3 or any digital format (preferably online for quicker processing) for consideration for our final presentation of musical interpretations. From July 6-August 10, the entire gospel community will vote on the finalists CIGS Inc chooses as the best creative interpretations of each lyric. About The Winners of Lyrical Winning artists will receive all star treatment during Lyrical Week (August 25-Sep 1, 2008) where they will take part in a publicized press conference, an awards banquet to celebrate their winnings, a professional photo shoot, professional recording sessions to record their winning entry and a live performance at the Lyrical Concert finale.
