Domestic Long Hair-white - Small - Young - Female - Cat - Gabrie
Description
Update 7/09: Gabby had x-rays which showed that she needed an FHO - a surgery where the "ball" portion of the ball-joint in the hip is removed. She came through surgery wonderfully and is recovering slowly. She is now available for adoption to a very special home. Her hip should only minimumly limit her mobility - she will need steps provided to get to any high spots she needs to get onto (like your bed!). She is extremely loving and very content to hang out and be your best friend. Gabby's surgery cost over $800.00 (part of her tail had to be removed in addition to the FHO), so any donations would be GREATLY appreciated! Gabrielle was out wandering by the road and was hit by a car. She had a few cuts and bruises but has healed up fairly nicely. She is still sore around her back legs but there are no broken bones so with time this should get better. She had no business being outside anyway because she is completely DEAF. Gabby must have an inside only home. She will tolerate other cats but will hiss at them. She actually seems to mind the dogs less than the cats, and is good with kids. She is extremely affectionate and loves to sleep in the bed. She has the typical "howl" of a deaf cat that will startle you if you aren't expecting it. :P She is a real sweetie and would love to find her forever home where she will be cared for as the princess she knows she is! Not yet ready to adopt? You can sponsor a pet now to help pay for medical expenses, special diets, toys and treats, emergency medical care, etc., to provide for him or her during foster care. Our adoption fee rarely covers our expenses, so any size donation is appreciated!Click the Sponsor Me! logo to make a donation. You can also donate by check or Paypal by visiting our website at www.cofas.org and click "How You Can Help". **********************************************All of our cats and kittens are fostered in homes so we know their personalities. They are spayed or neutered, tested for FLV (and FIV if over 6 months), up to date on shots, wormed, and on flea preventative. All kittens must be inside only until at least 6 months of age. Our goal is to match our fosters with the best home possible. The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $75.00.
