2 1/2 years old, 51 lbs - Bright Eyes is a loving little lab girl who just wants to be loved. She is shy of new people and new things and will run with tail tucked until she is sure you aren't going to hurt her. She absolutely loves her foster mom and family though and will do anything to be close to them. She loves to be hugged, petted and to snuggle up close. She gives kisses and is just a great dog! She will do best is a home with another dog b/c in her foster home you can see her confidence level go up when she is with her foster sister Tulip (also for adoption). She will require a tall fenced yard and another dog, no small children b/c of the noise. She is well worth it. Just look at that smile! Bright Eyes was dumped in the country last May 2008 (yes '8) along with 2 other dogs. We got our hands on the other two but Bright Eyes was too smart and refused to let us near her. We tried traps, pens, and drugs. She even started to recognize my car! She has had two litters of puppies in the last year but we finally caught her. After all this time, running and being terrified, she was immediately happy to be loved. If only she would have come to us a year ago! All dogs are fully vaccinated, altered, and microchipped. Brighteyes just went through heratworm treatment. Adoption fee is $125, apply to adopt at www.forgottenpaws.com
