Description
This dog is in a fosterhome in: Hampton, Georgia Chryssy's journey from neglected backyard dog to adoptable pet has been a hard one, and she still needs to travel the final leg to reach her destination of being a beloved & acceptedfamily member. She is seeking an adopter to accompany her the rest of the way, at the right speed-- slow enough to ease her anxiety, but lively enough to offer the exposure she needs to bolster her confidence. Chryssy is 4-5 years old, about 13 lbs., and just 13" tall. She loves sitting on the sofa and snuggling, and her hair is as soft as duckling down. She is potty trained as long as she is kept on a good schedule and let outside or given access to a doggie door. She gets along well with other small dogs and gets courage from them, so needs a "furever home" with at least one other canine companion (but no felines). Because loud, unfamiliar noises can alarm her, she wants a calm, quiet home without children. Her adopter must be dog-savvy, experienced, and patient, and understand that building a trusting, loving relationship cannot be rushed. Her adopter should also live close enough to Hampton, Georgia, to be able to visit with Chryssy before adoption, to fully understand her and work with her fostermom on a smooth transition.
