Houdini is an absolutely adorable 2 year old brindle male American Pit Bull Terrier. This handsome bully boy was found roaming the streets in June '09 by a gentleman who just can't keep him permanently and is desperate to find a forever home for Houdini. This personable, sweet, child and cat friendly Pittie hopes someone will scoop him up and offer him a loving, forever home soon. Houdini enjoys car rides and loves to play with toys- toss, fetch, whatever means he can run. He's an energetic boy who likes to play, but he is also mellow and lays around the house when he's not being exercised. This is one affectionate, intelligent, and ever-so-loyal bully! He's made it clear that he enjoys being spoiled, pampered, and loved. Houdini enjoys toys, loves treats, and is beginning his training to be a well-rounded Bully ambassador. He walks well on leash with the assistance of a prong collar, but without one will pull. He makes no complaints about being handled all over or having items removed from his mouth- he's just glad to get the attention. Houdini interacts well with other dogs, and even cats, though due to the Pit Bulls' tendency for same sex dog aggression, he will not be placed in a home with other male dogs. Houdini is housebroken and crate trained. He has been neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested and dewormed, heartworm tested negative and kept on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. There is a $200.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Houdini is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Houdini or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption.
