Kaleb is an absolutely adorable 2 1/2 year old fawn male American Pit Bull Terrier. This handsome bully boy was found wandering the streets in July 2007 and was taken in by a woman who can no longer keep him; his current owner is pregnant and living with her parents who are unwelcoming of Kaleb- they refuse to allow him to stay, and his owner is unable to move out, so Kaleb must find another home before October. Kaleb hopes someone will come along and see what a great boy he is, and offer him a forever home and a life full of pampering and spoiling! Kaleb is a mellow boy who enjoys a good case of the "zoomies", but for the most part, he just wants to relax. He's a well trained boy who does not jump on people, has good leash manners, and knows commands "sit", "stay", "shake", "crate", "go to bed", and "go to your room", leaving little training for a new parent/family to do. His favorite pastime activities include walks, car rides, and playing in the lake/water hose, and he loves the occasional milkbone (his favorite snack). He's affectionate (loves to be wherever you are), intelligent, and ever-so-loyal. Kaleb has made it clear that he enjoys being spoiled, pampered, and loved. He makes no complaints about being handled all over or having items removed from his mouth- he's just glad to get the attention. Kaleb's owner says small children make Kaleb nervous, so we suggest he be placed in a home without the possibility of small children in the home. Kaleb does not interact well with other dogs or cats, so he needs a home where he can be the only pet. Kaleb is neutered and crate trained. He has been neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested and dewormed, heartworm tested negative and kept on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. There is a $200.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Kaleb is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Kaleb or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption.
