Pit Bull Terrier - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Daisy Mae
This is the same Daisy you'll find through Dearborn Animal Hospital. Her adoption fee is $250. Daisy came to Dearborn after she was accidentally dragged down a street when her chain became entangled in her owner's truck tires. She was nearly skinned alive. However, despite her serious injuries and what must have been horrendous pain, her gentle demeanor shined through most of all. She was a trooper for all of her surgeries and treatments, and slowly came out of her shell and made friends with the staff. She has since been spayed, treated for heartworms, and learned all about living indoors (she likes it VERY much!) Her vets have guessed that Daisy is at least five years old. When I first met her, she was so lethargic, I thought she had to be older. But now that she's been with me for awhile, she tottaly acts like a puppy and is so much fun! She may not be as old as we first thought, just had a rough life. During the time of living in my home, my pack has helped Daisy make tremendous steps. She loves other dogs, cats, and kids. The young girl in the picture is 12. There's so much to explain, it would make this description way too long. The only reason Daisy shouldn't be with small children is because she likes to play using her mouth; something we're working on. As you'll see from the video, she plays with other dogs very gently, but likes to bite legs (Daisy is the dog on the floor). I think she's just learning how to play since it took a few weeks in my house before she even tried after my youngest dog encouraged her. Please email me or call Dearborn and ask for Jillian for more info about her. I can give info about Daisy with other pets and living in a home and Jillian can give into about her medical info and Daisy's first few months with us.
