Black and Tan Coonhound - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Rufus
Description
Rufus was abandoned and chained to a tree next to a trailer when the people moved off. As he lost weight he slipped out of his collar and went to the neighbors who occasionally threw him some food. He looked like he was at deaths door when I came across him. I was not able to get him that day and had to wait a few days to go back to get him, I feared he wouldn't make it those few days. He did and he was so grateful for food and shelter. He has put on about 30 pounds and looks great. Unfortunately, whoever had him, did not get him proper medical care when he apparently was hit by a car. His back hip grew back crooked and he has a significant limp. He will not be able to hunt but he is a wonderful pet and loves to sprawl out across the couch. He is beautiful and regal as well as calm natured and very loving and tolerant.
