Chug's daddy lost his job so they are having to move into an apartment and give up their house - they can only take one dog of their three with them and are taking their pit bull because she is the oldest, the most likely to die if she goes to a shelte and will be the hardest to adopt out. They don't want to lose any and are deeply saddened by this - so let's try to find safe haven for their beloved babies - Chug turned two in June of 2009 and Chug's mom writes: He is a very playful dog. He likes to play chase, he is not great at the fetch and bring it back concept but he still loves playing. He'd be a great family dog with kids at least 6 years old. He's big and clumsy and in exciting situation he will jump. He would be great for an active family, my husband and i like to take him hiking with us in north georgia. :Like many labs, he can be a digger but I understand there are ways to teach them not to dig - I just have not spent the needed time to teach him - and as he's gotten older and more out of the puppy stage, he's gotten a lot better. Chug MUST have a fenced yard - he has Lewis and Clark syndrome and wants to explore what's in the next yard over. He doesn't lick to kiss, he'd rather sniff your face to kiss you than slobber on it - a lot like some hounds do wants to smell you to see if you are lovable. He was house and crate trained as a puppy. He loves to spend the day on an old couch we have in the garage instead of in his crate but can also be trusted inside. He is not aggressive in any way, he's the only one who shares his food bowl with our cat. He would be fine in a home with cats. Sometimes he wishes the cat would play with him but one swat in the face from our cat max and chug goes back to whatever he was doing before. He prefers tile floor and air vents over the couch because of his thick coat. He gets over excited around new people and likes to get right under their feet, but thats at home. He's different when he's on a walk, he will wag his tail but won't jump.
