Motzart will be two years in september 09 he is your typical black lab and is just a lovable young guy. Motzart will need to be worked with as he still like to pull on the leash but does listen he will be a loyal and loving companion. Motzart is totally crate trained and housebroken ashe has not had an accident in my home. Background on Motart Little family of 6 lost thier mum in a car accident they were found and bottle fed for 4 weeks and are now all healthy and looking to leave the nest. Pups were born in September 2007 Update: We have taken Motzart back into our rescue his family no longer wanted him, he was kept outside chained up to a stake and at night left in a crate in the garage - we believe that our companion animals are part of the family - they are pack animals and love to be included no matter what you are doing - thankfully Motzart has such a great nature that he is just wonderful. Motzart because of this neglect has suffered with his growth and due to poor nutrition and living conditions has developed pigeon toes - we have taken x-rays and Motzart requires surgery on both his front legs to avoid becoming lame within the next year and not being able to walk. We are looking for donations to help this wonderful dog stay mobile his surgery is going to be $3,000. Update May 21, 2009 WONDERFUL NEWS two specialits later - Motzart has a 2 against and 1 for surgery. He is developing arthrtus but they feel this may or maynot be a problem for him as he gets to be a senior and then medication would be available to help him. Also as we have taken weight off him he is now 67 pounds and being feed with nutritius food together with vitamins for his bones advise has been that surgery would not be a choice. It would make his ankles look a little straight but bus feet and legs are fine so NO SURGERY. They are saying now that the problem has been caused by trauma so obviusly something happend in his adopted families home and he was hurt. Motzart can now look for his new home. The funds we collected for his surgery have all been spent and more on the xrays and vet/specialist visits to date so thank fully now we just have his food and vitamins to give him.
