All animals in foster care have the standard application, interview (meet and greet) and adoption contract requirements.  We are looking for the best match for each of our foster animals.Introducing........'Ponce'! Ponce was rescued from a local kill shelter by a wonderful, kind-hearted rescuer when no one else would give him a chance. Ponce is now ready to find his FOREVER HOME! Ponce is a young, exuberant lab-mix who will make someone a GREAT companion for life. He very much needs to be with his person, and probably would NOT do well if left alone for long periods of time. He needs exercise, exercise, exercise, and is good at letting you know when he needs to play. Ponce was very stressed by his shelter experience, played rough, and was very &#147mouthy&#148. In the three months he has been in his foster home, he has come a long way and is now ready for his forever home. He is VERY intelligent and trainable. He is fully housetrained, not destructive in anyway, good with non-aggressive dogs, and socialized with cats. Ponce does still get anxious in new situations and can be a &#147talker&#148. But, if you will open your heart and home to Ponce for forever, I know you will have a trusting companion for life. Ponce is neutered, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, treated for fleas/ticks and current on vaccinations! He is also socialized with other nice dogs and cats.
