Please adopt me. My name is Bella and I am approximately 1 and 1/2 years old. I weigh 28 pounds and they think I am a yellow lab/shepherd mix. I was rescued after running loose for 6 months. I weathered the snow, storms, heat and cold. On June 14th I decided to make friends. My friends got me vaccinated and tested for heartworms. I was heartworm positive. I have had heartworm treatment and am now heartworm negative. I was recently spayed and am ready to find aforever family of my own.I have adapted well to human contact. I am crate and house trained. I adore my foster Dad (he was my first friend). I love to ride in the car and chew on toys. I am great at figuring out how to get the stuffing and squeaker out of a toy. I can do it and not even swallow any of the stuff. I just make a little mess around me-it is real easy to clean up.It has almost been 3 months that I have been with my foster family. I have been through a lot. I am still a little shy around strangers, but if they ignore me and let me make the first move, I'm good. I also like to go on leash walks. Since I haven't been allowed to get rowdy (because of heartworm treatment and spaying), they haven't let me loose to play with other dogs. I do enjoy when my foster parents play tug-o-war and fetch with me though.I would love to be able to run in a fenced in yard, but would be fine to be leash-walked for exercise. My foster parents have started a bad habit in letting me sleep with them. I love to cuddle. I need a home that will provide me with patience, kindness, commitment, and love.
