We are currently seeking an Wireless Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Atlanta, GA area.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION


The Wireless Engineer will be serving as a technical subject matter expert for various specialized wireless development projects related to ALU, Ericsson and Tellabs equipment.


Day to day responsibilities may include:

- Cell definition within the MSC and RNC

- Performing rehome/data translations including MSC to Node-B, BSC/RNC and 911 phase changes

- Understanding 2G, 3G and UMTS technologies

- Attending status meetings

- Performing off-hours support as needed


The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience with Ericsson, Tellabs and Alcatel Lucent wireless technologies. This includes an thorough understanding of ALU RNCs, ALU BSCs, ALU Media Gateway and ALU UMTS Switches (LCP)


REQUIRED SKILLS

- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience with Alcatel, Ericsson and Tellabs elements

- Expertise with Alcatel Lucent (ALU) technologis including RNC, Media Switching Center, Media Gateway and Node B.

- Experience with provisioning IUCS, IUPS, IUR and IUB

- Knowledge of UMTS and GSM call flow
