Description
We have a contract opportunity for a Technical Writer for our customer in the Atlanta area. The selected candidate will research, organize, write, edit and produce data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications for proposals and bid documentation requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and allied fields. You would recommend overall organization and layout, editorial standards, publications methods etc., coordinate publication with outside sources and vendors as needed. You would also be responsible for developing department editing standards and styles. May provide work leadership for lower level employees as well as Project coordination. Creating, reviewing, updating, outlining, versioning, communicating, distributing and electronically storing documents including but not limited to (policies, procedures, HowTo Guides, Service Level Agreements, Rules of Behavior, Weekly Status Reports, Meeting Minutes, Agenda's); perform various project manager responsibilities including but not limited to (Customer/Client interfacing, gather requirements, establish deadlines, create/maintain project plans).
2- 5 years of Technical Writing experience is required. ITIL experience is also required. ITIL v3 Foundations Certification is desired. Experience writing procedures, face to face customer/client negotiations, meeting deadlines, and versioning documents is needed. Experience including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook is needed. Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience necessary.
