Job Description:


As a SharePoint Web designer, you will be expected to be an expert at Web design and SharePoint 2007 (we are not looking developer but a super user). You will be responsible to design and build an intranet portal. You will work closely with leadership and SharePoint team to understand and develop requirements for the next generation intranet website. You will be responsible for adding and modifying the content to the site.


Technical requirements:


-Experience in SharePoint 2007(MOSS) and SharePoint designer

-Experience in graphics, layout, and design required

-Understands taxonomies, site design, and navigation principles and best practices

-Demonstrated experience developing web sites using the latest technology, for example, Dynamic HTML and JavaScript required

-Building Intranet portals and collaboration solutions using MS SharePoint

-Converting existing content, sites, services into SharePoint 2007

-Building features, web parts, workflows for existing SharePoint 2007 sites

-SharePoint 2007 content management and publishing

-Intranet deployments

-Meets project deadlines and likes working in a fast paced environment

-Integrating the portal with other corporate data sources, applications and knowledge management systems.

-Strong communication skills

-Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required

-Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work as a team player

-Prior consulting experience a plus

- A college graduate with a communication related major possessing 1-3 years of work experience (plus)

-Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure

-Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills

-Technology savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience using web content management software ideal
