We are seeking a Director of Quality Assurance who directs the Quality Assurance function for both custom software development and third-party software. Leads the implementation of best testing practices, tools and procedures. Institutionalizes repeatable processes for test planning, test design, test development, test execution and test results management. Implements and manages quality control and assurance standards for custom software development. Optimizes all QA processes for efficiency via enhancement of automation tools. Ensures adherence to these standards throughout the development process.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for owning the quality assurance processes and deliverables, and recommending future state processes and solutions.

Utilizes superior change management skills to propose and implement key process improvement and adoption of best practices across all phases of quality assurance activities.

Fosters positive relationships with clients while providing oversight of test requirement gathering, development, review and signoff of test plans & conditions.

Leads the maintenance of a test base including data, transactions and expected results for each standard test plan.

Responsible for defining and maintaining written procedures for executing each standard test plan and ensuring adherence to these procedures.

Responsible for developing and maintaining software utilities, scripts and test tools used to facilitate execution of standard test plans.

Ensure test execution visibility by proposing, implementing and tracking metrics and quality standards.

Implements test automation framework.

Responsible for certifying all custom software development that is done on behalf of clients and for coordinating and supporting client user acceptance testing.

Responsible for staff hiring, goals and objectives, performance reviews, development, training, and mentoring.


EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of experience with Quality Assurance. 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in the Quality Assurance field. Experience with the Mercury Test Suite. Experience testing in a highly transactional environment. Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree preferred.
