Description




An exciting and highly successful company here in town is looking for a Senior UI designer to add to the team. This person will be a part of a cross-functional design team, helping with critical site deployments, developing design guidelines, mock-ups and wireframes, collaborating on creative platform interfaces and new functionality paradigms. You will be interfacing between product, design and engineering teams to ensure quality deployments and helping to maintain product design guidelines.

Responsibilities will include:


Design Intuitive interfaces in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Technical documentation and wire framing

Interpret and communicate project requirements

Code primarily using XHTML, CSS and Javascript


Work with product, design and engineering teams to implement and maintain user-facing features across multiple clients and projects

Identify and communicate best practices for Front End engineering


The qualified candidate will have:

Minimum of 2+ years experience using HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript required

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and wire-framing tools (OmniGraffle, Visio, or Axure) required


B.A./B.S. in Computer Science/related technical field or commensurate experience preferred

Ability to document, reusable code for common UI components in XHTML and Javascript

Ability to create interfaces that are fast, consistent across browsers, and demonstrate an intimate knowledge of browser quirks and best practices

Experience crafting efficient, optimized, and speed-minded code

Ability to hand code DOM manipulation without a JavaScript library

Mastery of CSS table less layouts

Mastery of W3C Web standards and specifications

Ability to communicate well with groups and integrate the ideas and vision of your peers

Demonstrated attention to visual and interaction details down to pixel-perfect implementation

Demonstrated experience as a self starter with ability to work solo or in a team environment

Ability to handle multiple project deliverables and balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience with PHP a plus
