Description




We have a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Microsoft SMS Systems Administrator for our customer in the North Atlanta area. You would package, test and incorporate automated desktop application installations within a SMS and SCCM framework; participate in Windows 7 planning and implementation of 1800 workstations and laptops using a Microsoft SCCM infrastructure. You would also administer a SCCM environment across multiple sites within the US to include application packaging, Microsoft patches, application patches and operating system deployments and support end user workstations as part of the Client Support team. Need to solve complex problems that junior administrators have not been able to solve and occasionally support remote users and provide technical assistance to the remote IT analysts where necessary. Work across all areas of IT, especially IT Infrastructure (client support, helpdesk, networks, telecom, A/V, and system administration). Support Vmware virtual desktop using an ESX environment and Thin Client computing.


Experience and ability to recommend, install, troubleshoot and support an SMS, application packaging, Scripting knowledge with VBScript, Wise or InstallShield. Windows operating environments and systems, laptops/desktops, wireless converged devices (blackberry's, iPhones, etc.), desktop firewalls, basic networking, home networks (including wireless/routing/firewalls etc.), printers, projectors (A/V), phones/cell phones, pagers, enterprise desktop architect are needed. High consideration will be given to individuals who have experience supporting end users and posses the necessary systems experience required to support SCCM, VMWare virtualization and application packaging. A background in infrastructure support beginning with helpdesk support and working up to advanced infrastructure technologies will also be a plus.
