GENERAL SUMMARY

Works with senior developers to prepare specifications and user requirements. Assists with testing, debugging, and documenting programs. This position requires knowledge and experience in the following areas: flow diagrams; coding, testing and debugging and system administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Software Developer:

Researching, designing, writing and testing new software programs

Developing existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification

Integrating existing software products

Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects

Investigating new technologies

Creating technical specifications and test plans

Problem-solving and thinking outside the box

Support current products

Design and implement new products

Diagnose and research issues discovered by clients/coworkers

Conduct testing/integration of systems

Perform support for internal customers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and relevant training or education

2-5 years of programming experience

Team player is a must

Must be comfortable with various flavors of Linux and Windows

Networking experience is a plus

Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming, software development life cycle and methodologies

Working knowledge of multiple languages: Shell, Perl, PHP, SQL, C#, HTML, XML

Good communications and interpersonal skills are a must
