GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

High growth Technology Company has an immediate need for a Senior Oracle DBA. You will be responsible for all aspects of Oracle database administration, responsible for overall design, development and support and the company s database systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Linux & UNIX Environment

RAC Hands-On Experience. Must have Installed, configured, and monitored RAC systems

ASM and OCFS knowledge

10g Required 11g a Plus!

DataGuard Hands On Experience.

Physical Modeling a Must. Logical Modeling a Plus

Stream experience a plus

Installation, Configuration, Upgrading

Ksh Scripting, Perl DBI/DBD, Java JDBC a Plus to develop infrastructure to manage Servers

System Performance Tuning, OS Dosk Storage, Kernel Tuning Knowledge

Command Line Oriented

OEM and grid Control

Have Managed Large Server Farm

BackUp and Recovery using RMAN

PL/SQL knowledge and SQL tuning Skills

Partition Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

* Senior level DBA skills with a minimum of 7 years experience as DBA
* Solaris and AIX light systems administration skills
* Must have 7 or more years experience with Oracle database administration
* Must have experience with 10 (experience with 10 is required, 11 is preferred).
* Some experience with Solaris/AIX Unix, and any experience with PL/SQL development is preferred.
* Excellent problem solving, issue identification, analytical and technical documentation skills.
* Web development environment background
* Broad-based knowledge of computer hardware, software, platforms, and Windows, and Unix operating systems
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
* Able to work independently and productively under pressure
* Willing to learn application(s) and comprehend business side
* Transaction processing experience desirable
* Development experience with software development languages (Java, HTML, SQL) preferred.
