Senior Java E-Commerce Application Developer


Location: Cumming, GA


Salary Role + Plus bonus


Objective: To join a highly motivated team of experienced Web developers applying state-of-the-art solutions to continually improve upon their award winning E-Commerce site and online store. Candidate will also provide enterprise solutions to contribute to company growth and success.


Required Skills:

Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or related equivalent degree

Minimum of 5 years experience developing applications using Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Web Services)

Minimum of 2 years experience with relational databases using JDBC and SQL

Minimum of 2 years experience in Web development with focus on client-side technologies (HTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, Web browsers)

Experience with Ajax technologies including XML, JSON, Javascript

Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, Cactus, Selenium)

Open to Agile development practices


Desired Skills:

Familiarity with IBM DB2 and SQL Server

Working knowledge of Linux or other.nix systems

Experience with at least one Javascript library (Prototype, Scriptaculous, YUI, JQuery, or similar)

Experience with Groovy and Grails or Ruby on Rails

Awareness Hibernate/Spring

Version Control (StarTeam, Subversion or other version control products)


Responsibilities:


Responsible for design and development of new features for our E-Commerce and internal applications

Responsible for maintenance and enhancements to existing Web store features and internal applications

Participate in evaluation/selection of future technologies and development tools

Develop and execute unit, functional and integration tests

Responsible for supporting and documenting development processes

Capable of driving a software idea from concept to reality on your own or within a team setting

Collaborate with team members and customers (internal and external) to define and specify effective solutions

Provide occasional daily operations support as well as occasionally creating utilities to improve productivity of internal customers

Evaluate, select, and provide enterprise solutions to improve company functions
