User Experience Design - Retail Applications

Project Description:


Application design for a new interactive touch-screen device for use in Telecommunication retail stores to inform, educate, and sell products and services to customers.

Description:


Responsibilities:

Design interactive applications for kiosks and multi-touch interfaces

Create designs that compliment and integrate into existing interfaces.

Design creative user interfaces that delight the user, address business needs, and adhere to technical limitations

Together with Creative Designers, create, critique, and communicate designs with thorough wireframes and design comps

Distill and organize large amounts of complex information into simple, useful, and usable designs

Collaborate with, and conduct design walkthroughs for clients and developers, and respond to changing needs and information

Prioritize, communicate, and manage work to meet critical project timelines in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Participate in user experience research as needed, including: develop research plans, protocols, and participant screeners; moderate usability sessions; collect data; analyze data; turn findings into actionable design recommendations.

Qualifications:


Bachelors Degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Information Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, or related degree. Masters Degree in related field is a plus.

3+ years work experience in UX, Information Architecture, or related field

A portfolio including problem statements, design rationale, concepts, wireframes, and end product.

Excellent user experience design utilizing an iterative design approach

Strong writing, verbal and overall communication skills.

Strong collaboration with other UX professionals, developers, QA, BAs, clients, agencies

Proficient with Visio and other standard IA and design applications

Experience designing for kiosks or multi-touch interfaces is a plus

Experience with Microsoft Expression Blend is a plus
