Position Summary:
The Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of assigned product lines including marketing, design, performance, reliability, profitability and support. This position requires highly motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relationships must be cultivated and maintained with customers, salespeople, engineers and site operations personnel. Successful Product Managers will exhibit strong leadership and business management skills.
Accountabilities:
Customer Satisfaction
Resolve warranty claims to the mutual satisfaction of the customer.
Establish priorities and facilitate customer feedback on the RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) system
Submit accurate quarterly and monthly forecasts to insure equilibrium between product supply and customer demand
Continuously evaluate product mix and pricing to insure that the company value proposition is compelling versus competitive products and competing modes of supply
Become an expert on current applications and work with customers to develop solutions for tomorrow s applications
Facilitate the development of Website content that enhances the customer experience (manuals, training, tools, wizards, etc)
Gross Margin Management
Prioritize and lead cost reduction projects that meet minimum NPV criteria
continuously monitor raw material costs and adjust pricing accordingly
Balance price versus volume (market share) to maximize gross margin
Actively participate in contract reviews and negotiations to insure gross margin maximization
Incremental Revenue
Develop new customers and products to promote long term growth
Develop new markets for existing product lines (ie medical MicroBulk)
Measure and track revenue share from new products and new markets
Direct marketing efforts to maximize new incremental revenue with new and existing products
Evaluate new and alternative sales channels to grow revenue Internal & External Sales Support
Promote product lines internally and externally through regular training and information sessions
Support outside sales by participating in customer meetings and sales calls
Develop and maintain a SharePoint portal that contains all relevant product line information (pricing, marketing collateral, technical documentation, training, tools, etc)
Champion a quality culture by leading cross-functional teams to resolve key challenges
Technical Leadership
Manage safety, reliability and performance risks associated with product lines
Oversee regulatory compliance activities
Actively participate in global sourcing activities (new vendor qualification, material specifications, etc)
Skills/Requirements:
Outstanding communication skills at all levels (written and verbal)
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and in a project management environment
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects
Strong general business background including financial acumen
Proven ability to provide high level customer service Qualifications:
BA or BS (or equivalent) required
MBA preferred
Minimum of 3 years previous product/brand management preferred
Beverage experience REQUIRED. The types of Beverage industry experience we are seeking include the following:
à Previous experience with a distributor of Beverage CO2.
à Previous experience with a Beverage company.
à Previous Beverage-specific experience at the corporate or brand management level with companies that dispense fountain Beverages.
à Previous experience with Beverage equipment manufacturers.
à Restaurant experience (GM, bartender, wait staff, etc.) does NOT qualify as Beverage industry experience
