PURPOSE OF JOB (JOB SUMMARY):

The Project Manager is responsible for developing, in conjunction with the Revenue Management Executive, a definition of the project. The Project Manager then ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standards. He/she ensures the project is effectively resourced and manages the relationship with a wide range of groups. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of Solution Architects, allocating and utilizing these and other resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team.


Manages the resources, activities and tasks required to create the operational change and the implementation of the companys application.

Develops and maintains a comprehensive and current project work schedule.

Assigns and coordinates activities among company and customer project team members.

Manages Status Reports- documents, distributes and communicates.

Manages Issues List- maintains, resolves and closes issues in a timely fashion.

Risk Analysis


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:


Managing and leading the project team.

Recruiting project staff (Solution Architects).

Managing the coordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.

Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan.

Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.

Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.

Resolving cross-functional issues at project level.

Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.

Monitoring project progress and performance.

Providing status reports to the Revenue Management Executive and Project Sponsors.

Managing project training within the defined budget.

Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities.

Final approval of the design specification.

Working closely with client Project Manager to ensure the project meets business needs.

Definition and management of the user acceptance testing needs

Working with Education Manager to identify user training needs and managing user training program.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: Requires Bachelors degree. MBA is preferred.

Experience: Typically requires 8 or more years of healthcare industry product support or installation experience. Requires a minimum of three years experience as project leader or supervisor.

Certification as a Project Management Professional.

Excellent communication skills, ability to understand big-picture, and management skills.

Advanced knowledge of project management. Very strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills. Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value.


SPECIALIZED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED:


Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and business practices.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills (ability to effectively communicate with customer executives); strong conflict and complaint resolution skills.

Project supervision and knowledge of human resource policies and procedures.

Able to exercise independent decision-making.

Building cross functional relationships.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to process technical detail when required; organizational and time management skills.

Strong external customer service skills with a balance of strong business acumen.

Performance Consulting (experience required)

Expertise with PC applications (MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and along with internal software requirements (SAP, FOCUS, HBI, Sharepoint SAGE, etc.).
