Required knowledge and skills:

Job description:

The person in this role will be responsible for managing and/or analysing a wide variety of information required by franchises Directors in order to formulate franchise strategies, support new product development and brand management projects.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining consistent industry data as well as building the database required to support the LROP process.

Through sound management of resources and methodologies this person will play an important role on the global team.

The incumbent will also proactively provide expertise in all market research projects undertaken by the Global franchises, as well as management of relationship with company external market research vendors.


Major responsibilities:

Data management:

This position is responsible for building and maintaining databases required by the GSMT, ensuring easy access to relevant industry parameters and proper development of the LROP process.


Specifically, this person will:

Set up and maintain a competitive database utilizing all global data relevant to the animal industry (such as CEESA, VETNOSIS, and other regional data suppliers).

Determine all relevant assumptions and market parameters necessary to run the LROP and PP processes

Become the authority in providing 'reference' data in market analysis to the GSMT.


Market research:

This person will, in the domain of market research, provide:

Expertise in designing and conducting market research for the GSM team

Management of the relationship with external vendors

Negotiation and budget management for all market research conducted by the GSMT

Become the authority and expert in market research, with the objective to provide best service to the GSM team and provide proper support and training to the Regions and Countries


Business Intelligence:

The responsibilities under Data management could extend into Business Intelligence and competitive analysis


Strategy formulation:

This person will participate in the development of global marketing strategies by assisting global franchise leaders with long range planning and expertise in market analysis.

Required skills:


Bachelor's degree and 11 years market research experience or a Masters with 9 years market research experience.

Proven capability using advanced functions in Excel

Should have 8 or more years of data base management and market research experience (international experience is preferred)

Must be available to work independently and in an organized fashion to manage a large volume of projects and studies simultaneously

Excellent project management skills

Strong attention to details

Should have an innovative action-oriented style and should be able to serve a highly diverse internal client base

Ability to work in a Matrix organization across countries, functions and cultures
